The K.V.A. sponsors academic awards for high school volleyball players and teams. The All-Academic Team is designed to honor high school varsity volleyball players who have proven excellence in the classroom. To be eligible to receive this award, players must have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.75 on a 4.0 scale, or the equivalent on another scale, during the first semester of the current school year. Only a player who has earned a varsity letter during the current season according to her school's requirements is eligible for this award. Players are nominated by their high school coach.
The Team Academic Award is designed to honor high school varsity volleyball teams which have proven excellence in the classroom. To be eligible to receive this award, teams must have a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.3 on a 4.0 scale, or the equivalent on another scale, during the current school year. This will include GPA's from all players who competed at the varsity level. Teams are nominated by their high school coach.
