Dani (McHenry) Schmidt
Hall of Fame Class of 2018

Dani (McHenry) Schmidt led her Shawnee Heights volleyball team to back-to-back 5A state titles in 1999 and 2000. During her illustrious career she earned 1st team all-league all four years and was league MVP her sophomore, junior, and senior years, was named to the 5A All-State team her sophomore, junior, and senior years, and was the Kansas Sports Magazine Player of the Year in 2000.

At Washburn University, Dani became the first AVCA All-American in Washburn history when she was an Honorable mention in 2003 and third team in 2004. She helped lead them to their first NCAA appearance in 2002. She is 6th in all-time kills at Washburn, and first in kills per set. She was inducted into Washburn University’s Hall of Fame in 2016.
