Betsy Lienhard Scott Betsy played for legendary coach Joan Wells at Lawrence from 1979-1981 where her teams won 2 state championships during her sophomore and junior seasons and finished runner-up her senior season. Betsy was named all-league as a junior and senior, and was recognized by the National High School Athletics Association as a Prep All- American her senior season. She received a full ride scholarship to the University of Iowa as a result of her outstanding prep career, the first in Lawrence High history.
